OVER 5000 NEW POLY GRADUATES JOIN LABOUR MARKET

Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu will be graduating 5,510 students who have been fully exposed to entrepreneurial and ICT skills come Thursday, 8th March, 2012 at the institution 20th Convocation ceremony in Ikorodu.

The Rector of the Institution, Mr Abdulazeez Lawal disclosed this at a news conference organised to highlight activities for the Polytechnic coming Convocation in Ikorodu yesterday.

Mr Lawal explained that the graduands cut across 32 Departments in the School of Agriculture, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Technology as well as Management and Business Studies at both National and Higher National Diploma levels.

The Rector maintained that LASPOTECH, which he said was the only Polytechnic in the Country that is enjoying membership and support of the African Network of Scientific and  Technological Institution (ANSTI) would not relent in her efforts to producing skilled manpower for Commerce and Industry in Nigeria.

Mr Abdulazeez Lawal added that Honorary Award would be conferred on two eminent Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in service to humanity during the celebration which commence tomorrow.

The news conference was witnessed by the Deputy Rector, Bar. Olasunkanmi Longe, The Registrar, Mrs Aderonke Olufunke Ige and other member of the management.
